Angelina Jolie may star as Cleopatra in a new film to be directed by James Cameron.
The director is in talks with Sony about making another film about Cleopatra, based on the book by Stacy Schiff.

Speculation started in July that Angelina Jolie was considering portraying Elizabeth Taylor in a biopic.


Since no word has surfaced on the Elizabeth Taylor biography since the summer, it’s likely that Angelina Jolie has moved on to the Cleopatra movie which Taylor played in 1963..

Academy Award-winning writer Brian Helgeland, who won a Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar for his work on ‘L.A. Confidential,’ is also in talks to pen the script. But Sony hasn’t made any official plans to hire Cameron, Jolie or Helgeland.

Hmm, it is not easy to reprise the Cleopatra role which the classic and ethereal beauty, Elizabeth Taylor, made her own. Nevertheless, it will still be an interesting comparison with sexy mom Angelina Jolie helming the film.
