Sexy mom Demi Moore and Kim Kardashian are having a Twitter war over Kardashian's use of the word "pimping" in a recent Tweet.
The dispute started on Sunday when Kim Kardashian was at One Bal Harbour Resort & Spa to help Kelly Rowland launch her "I Heart My Girlfriends" charity.
While at the party, the newly single Kim Kardashian captioned a mobile phone-uploaded photo of herself partying with other celebrities in Miami as "Big pimpin w @SerenajWilliams @LaLaVazquez @Kelly_Rowland Love u girls!"
Don't ask me how Demi Moore caught on to the tweet but she was clearly offended when she responded: "Are you using the word `pimpin' as in `pimping?'"
Kim Kardashian tried to downplay the situation with, "Doesn't everyone? LOL."
"No disrespect I love a girls night out but a pimp and pimping is nothing more than a slave owner," Moore replied. "If we want to end slavery we need to stop glorifying the pimp culture.''
Kardashian took the high road, referencing Jay-Z's song, "Nothing wrong with dancing to 'Big Pimpin' by Jay-Z in the club!"
Well, it didn't appease Demi Moore who wrote: "Clearly I stirred up a s**t storm. But 2 create change U have 2 be willing 2 take a risk and be willing 2 provoke thought & conversation."
That's provoking, all right. Pimp, as we all know is a derogatory word and we should not glorufy pimp culture. But did Kim Kardashian really meant to be insulting?
Most of Kim Kardashian’s Twitter followers are supporting her and feels that she probably used the term to appear “cool.”
I think Kim Kardashian did not intend to be disrespectful, so Demi Moore should not be over-sensitive. In any case, it is worthwhile to be careful of one's tweets and online behavior.
Who knows if Demi Moore is watching? This is what I like about Celebrity News. They never fail to surprise you...
