Mexican-born film star Salma Hayek could take a lead role in an upcoming adaptation of the book "News of a Kidnapping" by Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Shooting is scheduled to start this October in Bogota and in Mexico on the adaptaion of the 1996 book, a factual account of the kidnapping of 10 journalists by notorious Colombian drug trafficker Pablo Escobar.

Movie producer Eduardo Constantini, from Argentina, told AFP he hopes for "the most international cast possible" and that sexy mom Salma Hayek is a possibility.

"Salma Hayek is very interested in the project, has read the script and is enthusiastic," Constantini said in New York.

In case you don't know Gabriel Garcia Márquez, he is an acclaimed author who won the 1982 Nobel Prize in Literature. I have read a few of Garcia Marquez's novels, "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and "Love in the Time of Cholera," both of which made it into Oprah's Book Club and have sold millions of copies to date.

Garcia Marquez is a true master at dissecting relationship between sex, age, society, art, death and love. "Kidnapping" will a hugely anticipated movie for me, especially if the curvy Salma Hayek is starring.

This survey was conducted in fall 2008, with hundreds of entertainment professionals assessing 1,400 actors' abilities, from attracting financing, theatrical distribution and effects on box-office revenue.

Angelina Jolie (Best supporting actress for 1999's Girl, Interrupted), has accomplished the rare feat of playing successfully in the male-driven action movies without losing dramatic credibility.

In 2008, she was a best-actress nominee for her role in Clint Eastwood's Changeling while also scoring with Wanted, a shoot-'em-up that pulled in $342.5 million worldwide, according to Exhibitor Relations.

Britney Spears has reportedly been in a panic over the thought of not being able to take her boys on tour with her.

Now the ex-couple is set to finalize an agreement that will keep both of them happy, until Britney's return to her home in California.

"Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country. He is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful."

Kevin Federline's lawyer Mark Kaplan added: "I don't think the kids will be at venues. They will be available in her life when she is done with the rigors of performing."

I think that is an acceptable compromise. The kids should not be going on tours with Britney, else they will be dreaming about being celebrities and have no interest in their studies.

Britney Spears can still see her boys on a regular basis and they can have the stability being with their dad offers.

Angelina Jolie even flipped and tried to throw the nanny out.

I am trying to develop a line with a drugstore. I have been doing research for two or three years. My approach is how we can get the essence of the really expensive [products] for everyone."
