Aussie viewers will not see Elle Macpherson's new TV series The Beautiful Life as it was axed in the US after just two episodes had aired.
The Ashton Kutcher-produced series was set in the NY modelling scene and also starred Mischa Barton and Corbin Bleu, and was shown on the CW cable network.
There were early rumours from the New York set that producers were concerned about Macpherson's acting skills, but the cast and crew managed to produce six episodes and she had been promoting it for the past month.
But it debuted to the less than successful figure of 1.4 million viewers and was axed on Saturday after slipping below one million in its second airing.
The news was disappointing for Macpherson, with the 46-year-old using it to re-energise her short lived acting career.
