Sexy mom Jennifer Lopez who recently celebrated her 40th birthday confessed that motherhood has transformed her life.

In a recent interview, Jennifer Lopez said, "There's nothing as huge as giving birth to another human being and having to be responsible for another life."

Jennifer Lopez also noted that she's become more selfless as a mother. "[Parenthood] totally changes your perspective on everything. You don't come first anymore. There's somebody else you care more about than yourself."

As for her music career, "I'm at a point in my life when I just don't feel the need to put out anything unless I totally, absolutely feel it says what I want to say."

On her five-year marriage to husband Marc Anthony, the sexy celebrity says, “I’m old enough to know now that relationships take work. That’s it’s not an easy thing.”

This is really sound advice on parenting and relationships by someone who has experienced the ups and downs.

Coming from a pop diva who is used to calling the shots, it is good to know she appreciates marriage involves effort to maintain and there must be give and take. If more people takes such advice to heart, I am sure the divorce rate in America can be reduced drastically.

By the way, I am glad that Jennifer Lopez is not giving up entirely on her career. I still miss her movies and music and believe she can juggle the task of motherhood and Hollywood celebrity equally well.
