Actress Demi Moore has filed a lawsuit against Australian publisher Pacific Magazines for printing pictures of a private Oscars bash hosted by her in Los Angeles last year.

The sexy mom alleged that New Idea magazine had breached copyright after publishing unauthorized photos of herself, daughter Rumer Willis, Diddy, and Cameron Diaz in its March edition.

Demi Moore is seeking unspecified damages and closed-door negotiations for a settlement should begin next month.

Now, few celebrities will relish an all-out battle with the media and end up alienating themselves, unless the photos are being used in a commercial or derogatory manner.

I believe any publicity will always be good for a celebrity, else people forget about you. Thus, there is a good chance of the case being settled out of court, whether the magazine is entitled to free use of the photographs or not.
