Salma Hayek is busy working on a new beauty venture, but did not reveal much details in a conversation with WWD.

Hayek—who spoke while hosting a book party for her friend and hairstylist Robert Vetica at Beso restaurant in Hollywood—said, "I shouldn't be talking about this. I am trying to develop a line with a drugstore. I have been doing research for two or three years. My approach is how we can get the essence of the really expensive [products] for everyone."

This "cheap" cosmetic line was conceptualized by Salma Hayek in response to the current recession. And I think it is a brilliant and exciting idea.
